Hotel Emmental in central location in Thun
The Hotel Emmental is located in a prime central location in Thun. All rooms have been carefully and faithfully renovated at the end of 2017, all bathrooms have been redesigned to the highest standard.
Room facilities and categories
Bright spacious rooms. Each room has a private bathroom with shower. The wi-fi is available free of charge in the hotel rooms, in the restaurant and on the terrace.
Four of our 14 rooms have their own private balcony. The remaining rooms have two shared balconies. For families or groups, we offer the option of booking an extra bed in our double rooms. Please inquire about availability when booking. We also have a family room that sleeps 6 people, as well as a triple room.
Children under three years old sleep in a baby cot free of charge. Children aged 3-11 + 50, children aged 12 and over, and adults + 65. The price is for the extra bed, per night, including breakfast.
Breakfast / Sunday brunch
Breakfast is served Monday to Saturday from 7 am to 10 am, on Sunday from 7:00 am to 9:30 am in our restaurant. On Sunday you can book a upgrade for 18.- p.P. for Sunday brunch. The brunch will be served from 10am to 1pm.
Location
The city center of Thun, the hospital Thun, the castle hall, the concept hall 6, the curling hall / ice rink in Thun, the castle museum Thun which is housed in the castle Thun, the cinema Rex, or the popular, lively `Mühleplatz` with a lot of coffees or restaurants you can reach within easy walking distance.
The nearby river bath "Schwäbis" invites you to cool off from spring to autumn, as well does the promenade with its centuries-old trees and benches to go for a walk and just relax.
Arrival
By public transport: Stop Berntor
By train to Thun station. There you get on the bus no. 1. It goes in the direction of Steffisburg / Flühli and stops a few meters next to our hotel.
By car: Parkhaus City Nord / Grabengut
The car park City Nord / Grabengut is also close to our hotel. Hotel guests benefit from a 20% discount.
